Promoted on March 27th, Lt. Massey has been with the South Pasadena Fire Department for 9 years, with a total of 18 years of experience as a firefighter and 16 years as a paramedic.
Lt. Massey says, "…I have always had a passion for public service and wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement at a young age. The events of 9/11 were the catalyst to begin discovering fire department and I made the decision to train as a firefighter after meeting Lt. Rasmussen (Ret.)…Firefighting has taught me that leadership isn't a title, it's a privilege and a responsibility that you earn every single day. My inspiration in life is my wife Tiffani and my two daughters, London and Holland."
