About South Pasadena

Map of FloridaIncorporated on July 1, 1955, the City of South Pasadena occupies 0.6 square mile on the west coast of central Florida. It shares boundaries with St. Petersburg, Gulfport, and St. Pete Beach, as well as unincorporated areas of the Pinellas County.  South Pasadena's population is approximately 5,000. 

The City of South Pasadena enjoys a semi-tropical climate, plenty of sunshine each year and pleasant year-round breezes off the water.  Whether you're taking a stroll through a scenic waterfront park or grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants, South Pasadena is sure to charm you.

City of South Pasadena Commission ChambersForm of Government 

The City of South Pasadena has the Commission form of government.  Five Commission members are elected from the city at large, one of whom is elected as Mayor, each for four year terms.  Municipal elections are held on the second Tuesday in March of each year.

All Commission meetings are broadcast live on Spectrum Cable Channel 643.  Meetings are rebroadcast the following Wednesday and Monday at 11:00 a.m.  Administrative Workshop Meetings may be canceled without public notice.  Items identified for discussion are also subject to change.  Please contact City Hall for confirmation prior to each meeting.  If necessary, a second Regular Commission Meeting can be scheduled the fourth Tuesday of month at 7:00 pm.
