The City of South Pasadena contracts with an outside attorney for legal services.  GrayRobinson, P.A. in Tampa currently serves as City Attorney providing legal counsel and support to the Commission, department heads, and boards.  The City Attorney is responsible for:
 

• Preparing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, leases and other legal documents
• Providing legal guidance in establishing administrative policy and making management decisions
• Investigating complaints by or against the City
• Preparing cases for trial
• Representing the Commission in labor negotiations
• Preparing legal opinions
